What if the cure for Type 1 Diabetes were in your hands?
Unbelievably, it is. We started out as a group of several individual parents who each promised our children at the time of their diagnosis that we would do everything within our power to work toward a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. We joined together as individual families and then our families joined together as a St. Anthony school group. Since that time we have grown to include even more families. Our Beat the Bridge team consists of these families as well as a variety of adults with Type 1 Diabetes, co-workers, neighbors, school parents and staff, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. That is how the power of one can become the power of many, and a cure for Type 1 Diabetes will become a reality. The support our children receive allows them to face the challenge of Type 1 Diabetes with courage and strength; for that we are truly grateful.
For the third year, we have formed a team for the Beat the Bridge run and walk to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to find a cure and support advancements in management for Type 1 Diabetes. You can click on the names of individuals on the team to read how Type 1 Diabetes has impacted them. This is a wonderful event. Please consider joining our team or making a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Your support is greatly appreciated!
